Deltrene was always the most studious of the sisters. Driven to gather knowledge about everything she could on a subject. She would spend hours, days, months on a single point of study until she had felt she had exacted every thing there could be known. Her ability to recall and utilize this information have her an air of superiority that she never felt. Having a fondness for all creatures but especially for the smaller types she would often intervene on their behalf showing up as from the mists to give insight and knowledge thencto fade away. Seen as a teenage girl with flowing raven hair fair skin and slanted eyes that were filled with a blue that radiated calm and persistence. They say to look into her eyes would drive a man pursuits that had lain dormant since they where a lad causing a singleminded focus that , when completed, would leave the man in a daze for months. She was always accompanied by a light laugh and the breezy sent of lavender.
One story goes that once she had read about a great library in the far away Thri-Kreen kingdom of Ank-Symed in the northern desert of Formariam. Leaving Papa Remmel's workshop and journeying by boat across the seas she would pay for her passage with the playing of the harp and the singing of tales of great heros now dead and of ancient lands now lost to the waste. Once having arrived near Ank-Symed she discovered a large army encamped about laying siege to the great city. Not having a desire to wait she approached a near by cliff that reached into the sky and called upon the very clouds themselves to descend to the earth and help her gain a pass through the throng. The fog that settled upon the army was so thick that to move about it was to move through living water. Deltrene easily made her way and upon reaching the massive gate of the city called out to be let in. The head of the guard the high captain Icen Sen Mymar spoke, "All I have is a voice from the mist calling upon me to break my solem covenant to defend my city from our enemies. What he heard was a light laughter and a call for him to come alone to see her and that she would remove not only the fog but the entire enemy encampment if she would be allowed free access to the great library. Having the courage of a charging bull but knowing that without some form of miracle the siege would eventual succed Captain Mymar exited the gate and approached the fair maiden. Leaning down to her she whispered to him three items that he was to procure and to bring to her and she would tell him how to defeat his enemy, a bronzed mirror, a ribbon of silver and a comb of gold. She then settled herself on a near by rock. Captain Mymar scoured the city until late into the evening he returned with the three items. Deltrene took the comb and smoothed out her hair then tied it back with the ribbon and finally used the mirror to admire herself. As she did the light of the dawning sun struck the mirror and reflected a striking array of blue lights through the fog to the exact positions of the enemies leaders. Hurrying back Captain Mymar gathered his most elite force and charged into the enemy encampment striking dead its leaders. As the sun began to burn off the fog the enemy was thrown into chaos as the, now leaderless army, began to cave in on itself and the city guard began raining death upon the confused throng. After the carnage and retreat of the enemy , and for many days after, Deltrene could be found in the library reading, discussing and arguing with the greatest minds of the time. She seemed to become a permanent feature of the city, the insight and wisdom she passed to the elders leading Ank-Symed to a golden age, until, one day, she was gone never to be seen again. The heirs of Captain Mymar having awoken the day after the last sighting of the fair featured girl to find; a bronzed mirror, a silver ribbon and a golden comb.
